Data update

When you send a request to update an ad (data update), in some cases you may not want a given element to be changed as it is on TipMoto.com.
For example, some clients edit e.g. the element nazev themselves, while they want the other parts to be updated.

Including an element in the data

Input data are processed by the API as follows:
If an element is included in the data, it is set to the current value. I.e. if the element is empty, the current value is deleted.
If an element is not included in the data, no data processing takes place and the element is not updated at all.
For this reason too, we do not recommend needlessly sending empty elements in a write if your system does not have them filled in at all.

ignoreonupdate

So that you do not have to handle logic in your application whereby you fill in an element when inserting an ad and omit it when updating, you can add the attribute ignoreonupdate="true" to the element.
In this case the element is only stored on insert; after that it is ignored in writes via the API and the client can set it manually in the administration.

Usage examples:
XML:

<nazev ignoreonupdate="true">CRF 1100 L Africa Twin</nazev>
JSON:
 ...
"nazev": "CRF 1100 L Africa Twin",
 "nazev@ignoreonupdate": "true",
 ...
