Recommendations for your exports (write interface)

These recommendations concern exports towards us, i.e. the WRITE interface and sending data from your system to TipMoto.com.

1. Always specify the ID
If no ID is specified, the system automatically creates a new record.
Ideally, you send your own ID (element idApi); the system uses it to match the records on our side as well, and you do not have to keep track of our IDs. However, you can also use our record IDs. For more, see identifiers.

2. Empty elements
If you include a value in the data structure, it is assumed that you want to set it.
For example, if you send an empty popis (description), i.e. <popis/> or <popis></popis>, it is assumed that you are setting the value to empty, and the existing value is deleted.
So either send only the values you want to change, or always the whole structure. If you do not keep some data, it is better to leave them out, and they will behave according to the default settings.

3. Not everything that is exported can be imported
The list of all elements is given in the agenda documentation, and each element states whether it is read-only or not.
If you send a read-only element, it is ignored.

4. Do not send complete updates of all records
A complete update of all records is time-consuming and really makes sense only for larger changes in your system. Otherwise always send only the changed records.

Request counts are monitored, and we will deal with any excessive load on the server.

5. Process validation messages
Related to the previous point: it is advisable to connect the updating of records to your system online. You can then show error messages or warnings directly to the user, who can correct the data in the system straight away.
